**College Board will also send student/parent emails with more information for the day of testing prior to the test as well.**

  • All registration and accommodations are handled through College Board, the administering body of the SAT. Stanwood High School cannot help your student secure a seat on a certain date or at a certain facility. You must register through College Board.

  • Test dates fill up months in advance so if your student even thinks they may want to take the test it is suggested that they register at their earliest convenience.

  • Students can choose to take the SAT at any area facility that is offering the test. So if Stanwood High School is fully booked you can look for another test site that may have seats open on your preferred date. Again, you should register at your earliest convenience to have the best chance of taking the test locally.

We will not be offering the ACT test during the 2024-2025 school year.

PSAT Information

The PSAT is offered one time a year in the fall. This test can qualify you for the National Merit Program and other scholarships.

The PSAT will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025 for Juniors ONLY.

Students can register beginning Monday, September 15th on a first-come, first-served basis. There are currently 35 spaces available, so don't delay!

The cost is $40 paid with Barbara Burton, in the SHS main office 7 a.m.-2:45 p.m. weekdays, before/after school and during lunch. Checks payable to SHS.

There will be NO REFUNDS for the PSAT.
